Where can I find a list of your ingredients?
We feel that ingredient lists should be the holy grail of learning more about products and always available to you. You should know what you’re putting on your skin. Our product pages list the ingredients for each of our products.
Have your products been tested on all skin tones/types?
Our customers (you!) are the hero ingredient at Fig.1. We create and build products with you in mind. Sadly, many products on the market are just tested (if at all) on one type of skin, and we set out to change that. When we conduct efficacy testing on our products, we ensure that the participants in our studies include all skin tones, types and backgrounds.
Are your products good for someone with sensitive skin?
All skin is unique, and reacts differently to different ingredients. Many of our products, like our Micellar Oil Cleanser and Niacinamide Treatment, were formulated with sensitive skin in mind. Our staff estheticians (or your doctor) can help you design a routine that’s tailored to your skin.
Are your products safety tested?
Safety is our top priority. At Fig.1, we go above and beyond all the usual safety requirements, so you can feel confident that our products are both safe and effective.
Do you test on animals, and are your products cruelty-free?
We never test on animals during any part of the product development process. Our products are vegan and cruelty-free.
Where is your product made?
Our formulas are developed and produced in the United States.
Do your products contain fragrance?
Only our Exfoliating Body Polish.
All of our skincare products are fragrance-free. If you notice a particular scent within any of our products, you can guarantee that this is a naturally-occurring scent.
How do I store my product?
Keep your products wherever you’re going to use them most! You can keep our products in your medicine cabinet, on your bathroom vanity, or your cosmetic case. Our products have been tested across many temperatures, and there is no need to keep them in a refrigerator. Just remember, your pump and bottle are glass and meant to be reused, so take good care of them!
When does my product expire?
Such a good question! It’s true that even the best skincare products tend to go bad in the bottle, which is why we created packaging that protects the formulas from light, air, and dirty fingers. If you use Fig.1 products as directed, you’ll finish the bottle long before any expiration date. If it lasts beyond that, we recommend replacing any product that’s been sitting on your shelf for a year.
Is Skin Radiance Complex suitable for women who are pregnant or nursing?
We do not recommend our supplement if you are pregnant, nursing or trying to conceive. If you fall into one of these categories, our staff estheticians can help you design a routine that’s tailored to you and your skin.
How often is Skin Radiance Complex taken?
We recommend two capsules daily. The capsules can be taken day or night, with food or beverage.
Does the supplement turn my skin pink?
No, it doesn’t! While Astaxanthin may turn krill, flamingos and wild salmon pink, consumption at this level acts as a beauty-from-within antioxidant to support your health, natural skin tone.
Is retinol safe during pregnancy?
Anyone who is pregnant, nursing or trying to conceive should avoid retinol and other vitamin A-related ingredients such as retinyl palmitate (pre-retinol), retinal (retinaldehyde), tretinoin, adapalene and tazorac.
How often should I use retinol?
After your skin adjusts to retinol, you can (and should) use it every night to attain the most benefits for your skin.
Should I use it day or night?
Retinol is best used at nighttime to help rejuvenate and restore your skin while you sleep. Retinol, like many vitamin A derivatives, breaks down when exposed to sunlight, so we don’t recommend using it during the daytime.
What other products should or shouldn’t I use with it?
- Yes to sunscreen, vitamin C and niacinamide.
- No to AHAs (if you want to use an AHA, only use it on nights when you are not using retinol).
My Vitamin C 15% Treatment is turning a yellow-orange color. Is that normal?
The form of vitamin c (l-ascorbic) used in our Vitamin C 15% Treatment is one of the most effective skincare ingredients available for brightening and smoothing the skin. It’s also an ingredient that oxidizes easily when exposed to air or light. To account for this, we've designed an innovative packaging and pump system that keeps your vitamin c formula safe from exposure to light or air. You may notice that any product residue sitting on the outside of the bottle, or right inside the pumps, hardens and becomes orange. That’s an indication that the formula exposed to air is oxidizing, but what’s inside is safely stored. This orange residue is completely harmless and easy to remove with a clean towel. One pump should remove any stagnant residue from the inside of your pump system.
If your formula starts to yellow over time, rest assured that the treatment is perfectly safe and healthy to use. Yellowing is natural with vitamin c treatments. If you have had an open bottle of vitamin c for longer than 6 months, we recommend that you replace your cartridge, to ensure maximum product potency.
How do refills work?
We wanted to limit the amount of waste that goes back into the trash bin. All those empty bottles every month make us crazy! We package our formulas in glass bottles with airless pumps. This packaging system keeps out air, light, and germs - the perfect home for your active ingredients. When you’ve run out of product, keep your bottle and pump, and order a Refill cartridge from the product page. That’s the small, colorful tube, which contains the actual product. Twist off the old cartridge, recycle it and then twist on the new one.
How do refills work for Skin Radiance Complex?
Similar to our topicals, the packaging system for our supplement is designed to be reused and refilled! Your supplement jar contains a one month (30-day) supply of capsules. When you’re down to your last dozen, order your refill - it’s $5 less! You will receive a pouch with another 30-day supply of capsules to refill your jar.
How often do I need to refill?
If you use our products as directed, expect to refill about every 6-8 weeks on average. Some products will last longer than others, depending on the recommended use per day and per week. Our staff estheticians can help.
Do I need to clean my pump?
No, there is no need! Our airless pumps are designed to be safely reused again and again, and can be used for all our products. This packaging system keeps air, light and germs at bay. That means even if you try a new treatment, you can keep using the same pump and glass bottle. Just pump the new cartridge a few times to ensure the formula is out of the pump before adding it to your new product.
When do I replace my pump or bottle?
Our airless pumps and glass bottles are designed to be reused, and to last. To maximize the lifespan for your pump and bottle, some very light maintenance may be needed from time to time. No tools required, we promise! Beyond this, replacement shouldn’t be necessary unless your pump or bottle breaks or stops working. Please contact us if this happens so we can send you replacement parts!
What happens if my pump stops working?
If you could take a video of what’s wrong, that would help us a lot. Sometimes a good shake will help re-prime the pump. We ship your first order with spare pump parts in a small envelope. Think of it like an emergency kit! The tiny ring inside is called a gasket. Slip the gasket onto the inside of the pump. Give the formula some pumps (up to 10) to get moving again. If this doesn’t work, drop us a line so we can better understand your issue and work through it together.
Can you help me personalize my skincare routine?

How do I incorporate Fig.1 into my current routine?
If you have products that you love, keep them! We designed a line of products that can be layered with the products you already use and love. Feel free to consult our staff estheticians to find out how to add Fig.1 products to your everyday routine.
How do I mix and layer Fig.1 products?
Our treatments are designed to be mixed, matched, and layered (kind of like your own chemistry experiment or personalized recipe). We recommend always starting your routine with a cleanse, and finishing up with a moisturizer to nourish the skin and seal in your active treatments.
In what order do I apply my Fig.1 products?
Every routine and face is different. That being said, there is a generally recommended order to put on your products. We recommend starting your routine with a cleanse. Follow with an active treatment (our version of a serum) and finish up with a moisturizer to nourish the skin and seal in your active treatments. Cleanse, treat, moisturize! If you’re applying eye cream, you can do that last.
How should I use the stickers that came with my order?
If your routine is like ours, it will include a few steps! Every Fig.1 order includes a sticker sheet with numbered suns for your morning routine, and moons for your evening routine. Attach the stickers to the products in your routine - Fig.1 or otherwise - to help you keep track! Remember, use your products in this order: cleanse, treat, moisturize, ingest.
Where can I find My Routine?
Your customized routine will tell you how to use our products, alongside any others that you love already. It will first arrive in your email, after you complete a consultation with one of our staff estheticians.

How do I cancel or update an order?
Cancellations are permitted up until the order has shipped. If you need to update your order (shipping address, contents) please reach out to our customer care team and we’ll be happy to help.
My order arrived damaged, what do I do?
We take great care to ensure that our products are packaged appropriately and shipped safely. In the event that anything arrives damaged at your door, please contact us right away so we can figure out replacement products or packaging for you.

How much does shipping cost?
We offer free shipping for all U.S. orders. You can always choose to upgrade or expedite the shipping for your order for an additional fee. For international shipments, rates are dependent on your location and order size.
When will I receive my order?
It typically takes 7-10 business days for orders to arrive once they’ve been shipped, although weather and where you live can sometimes delay things by a day or two. We want you to have your Fig.1 products in your hands as quickly as possible. You can always choose to upgrade or expedite your order for an additional fee.
Where can I track my order status?

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We are thrilled to offer worldwide shipping. Simply go to checkout and select your country from the dropdown in the address field. Rates are dependent on your location and order size.

Are Fig.1 products recyclable?
As a company, we take sustainability very seriously and look forward to being even more green as we grow. Our pumps and glass bottles are designed to be reused again and again, minimizing waste. What is your packaging made out of?
Our packaging is primarily glass, but all parts are made of recycled and recyclable materials.
